During an expedition to the Andes more than twenty-five years ago, Alberto discovered a group of healers who specialized in treating illness before it manifested in the physical body. They worked not on the physical body itself, but on the Luminous Energy Field surrounding it. In the East these imprints are known as karma, forces that sweep through our lives like a giant tide that we cannot swim free of. When the Luminous Energy Field is \'clear\' and in a state of wellness, our bodies and souls remain strong, glowing and disease-free.

Alberto, founder of The Four Winds Society, is trained as a psychologist and medical anthropologist, and has investigated the spiritual traditions of the Andes and the Amazon for more than 25 years. He has developed a body of shamanic knowledge which provides us with a framework through which we can learn the ancient healing practices. He is one of the leading teachers of the Incan healing and spiritual traditions and author of more than 10 books.
